Notes on the Heat Races
Greg again started in the back of the field with a starting position of eighth.
After the practice sessions Greg said the last change was awesome and on old tires the car was on a rail. The heat race started and right off the bat Greg has his hands full. For some reason the track had changed drastically and what was a car on rails went to a car that was a hand full. Starting in the back of the field and having a car so loose that he was chasing it up the track most of the night Greg had trouble tracking even the slower cars down. The heat race had Greg finishing in tenth.
Notes on the Feature Races
Thie roll of the dice was an eight for the inversion of the field and of course it was Greg's luck that night that he missed the inversion and would be starting in the tenth position. Making changes for the feature Greg was ready to gun down the front runners with putting fresh rubber on the car. With a little luck on our side Saturday the rains came in and put a damper on the new leader of Doug Browns night.
The feature was cancelled due to rain.
A few closing notes
We next race at Elko Speedway on 08 / 18 / 2007.
Elko Speedway decided to issue points for the heat race even through they cancelled the feature which put Greg back in ninth position with alot of work to come back and make it a race for the chase. Greg said "maybe this is a good thing and we will be on the better side with tires than everyone else.

Notes on the Heat Races
Greg started tenth.
Starting in the tenth position Greg has his work cut out for him. Greg was able to work his way through the slower traffic by lap ten of the fifteen lap heat. With just a few remaining laps Greg was able to make it into the second position but could not catch the twenty three of Steve Schultz before the final circuit crossing the finish line in second place.

The rain started getting heavier after the heat races and finally they called the rest of the night off due to rain.

We next race at Elko Speedway on 08 / 10 / 2007.
Next week is the start of the Chase for the Championship. Come out and cheer Greg back into the victory circle.
